The following introduces the main uses of different types of hardware?
1) Suspension hardware: This hardware is mainly used to suspend conductors or optical cables on insulators or towers (mostly used on straight towers).
2) Strain hardware: It is used to fasten the conductor terminal and fix it on the strain insulator string. It can also be used for ground wires, optical cables and stay wires (mostly used on corner or terminal towers).
3) Connecting hardware: Also known as hanging parts; mainly used for connecting insulators in series and connecting hardware to hardware. It bears mechanical loads.
4) Splicing hardware: Specially used for splicing various exposed conductors and ground wires. The splicing hardware bears the same electrical load and mechanical strength as the conductor.
5) Protective hardware: This kind of hardware is used to protect conductors, insulators, etc. Such as grading rings, anti-vibration hammers, armor rods, etc.
6) Contact hardware: It is used to connect hard busbars, soft busbars with the outlet terminals of electrical equipment, T-connection of conductors and non-stressed parallel connection, etc.
